I built this for my wife who became a yoga teacher. She wanted meditation without the dopamine-manipulation tactics (challenges, guilt trips, gamification etc).
Core features:
- Meditation timer
- Voice notes to capture thoughts during a session
- End-to-end encrypted journaling
- Compass to face east during meditation
- No ads, no "you missed a day!" notifications
The AI addition:
Then I added AI-guided meditations for myself. You describe your exact state ("I can't stop replaying an argument from 3 days ago") and it generates a personalised session via Claude API.
My wife still uses self-guided only (purist). I use AI daily. Both work great.
Early results:
Burned €400 on App Store ads → 19k impressions, 40 users, 4 trial starts, 2 conversions (ouch)
Then came the AI pivot, and a focus on organic acquisition. It's only been 2 weeks since re-launch, but I'm at 25 installs, 2 trial starts and 1 conversion. Slower, but feels much better!
