I could use a thought partner, but I find chat responses to be obnoxiously verbose and not very unique or nuanced or interesting. Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong? What is a “thought partner” in this case.

Have you considered the possibility that the dog food vendor knows their product is rotten but as long as people continue to buy into it, they'll keep making it?
