One of the worst things about both Trump presidencies has been the non-stop onslaught of bad news.
Even if the damage is transient and is unwound over the next decade or so, the actual day-to-day experience is so traumatic.
It really goes to show how important the story we tell ourselves about the world is and how much the leaders around us: bosses, older relatives, presidents, etc contribute to that narrative.
Being able to believe in the mission really goes a long way to motivating one to get out of bed in the morning and get to it.
We all knew this was inevitable from the most overtly corrupt administration in at least 50 years.
