Might there be an astronomer in the house, to roughly quantify the size & velocity breakdown of the 1.1 million tons of debris which an impact would throw into space?
Especially how much would fall back onto the moon. With no atmosphere, that stuff would have velocities up to ~2.4km/sec. Pretty unhealthy for lunar landers, equipment, habitats, astronauts...
